I have been reading some statistics about clean water and effective santitation which I think the majority of us take for granted.   An article published in the March 2013 edition of the Master Plumber Magazine detailed the following stats:-

1.1 billion people in the world do not have access to safe water supplies

2.6 billion people do not have effective sanitation systems and as a result 3.1 million children die of diseases that could have been avoided.

So next time you see a Plumber – thank him for ensuring we have a safe and efficient water supply.

The temperature is starting to drop so don’t forget to get your heater serviced to ensure you get the optimum efficiency out of it.   A little tip for you – if you have air conditioner vents in your ceiling take the vent out and use it as a template to cut out pieces of white cardboard , replace the vent and then place the cardboard over the top so it is flush with your ceiling – you will be amazed how much warmer your house will be because the warm air does not escape and hopefully your gas bill will be lower.

Fantastic News received today – Bosch Hot Water have come on board to help us raise money for Telethon.  They have pledged to match our $10 donation for every Bosch Hot Water unit we supply and install.  So this means for every Bosch hot water unit installed we will be donating $20 to Telethon.  Thank you so much Bosch.

Today was World Plumbing Day to recognise the important job Plumbers do for the environment, health and wellbeing of everyone and is celebrated every year on 11 March. Today at Forest Chase Perth a Guiness Book of Records Record was broken by making the Longest Human Towel Chain and I believe there was 261 people side by side holding towels. Above are photos of some of the Kelly’s Boys – Craig Beardsworth, Jim Ward, Josh Hamilton and Geoff Kelly soaking up the atmosphere.

Congratulations to Trent Kirkby on completion of his Plumbing/Gasfitting Apprenticeship.

We would also like to welcome Josh Hamilton to our team who has commenced his Plumbing/Gasfitting Apprenticeship.

Geoff and I have decided as of the 1 December 2012 we will be donating $10 to Telethon from every hot water unit sold and installed. Both of our children spent a brief period of time in PMH and this is the least we can do to repay the favour. So if you know of anyone that needs a new hot water unit please pass our details onto them and in turn they will be donating to Telethon by using our business.
